Dracula Daily Special Edition
Matt here - there’s no activity in Dracula today, so I’m using this little break to tell you about something exciting: We’re making a book.
First of all: I promise not to spam your email with news about this project. I’ve set up a separate newsletter if you’d like to follow along, and you can sign up for that here.
OK, on to the exciting stuff! The participation in Dracula Daily has been incredible this year - literally hard to believe. I’ve been SO delighted by how many people are enjoying the book together.
Lots of you have reached out about ways to share Dracula Daily - would we make merch? would we take donations? But none of those ideas (while great!) ever felt quite right - until people suggested we could print Dracula Daily as a book.
So that’s what we’re doing! In fall 2023 we’ll go full circle and publish Dracula Daily: our remixed, all-chronological order, packaged up and organized by date version. It will be a nice hardcover, something suitable for sharing or gifting also. I’m (obviously) a book nerd, so I’ll work hard to make sure it’s a nice object, something I’d be proud to have on my shelves.
I’d also love to include a sample of great reader responses as well! I'm reaching out to a few people to ask about permission and credits, and obviously I'd only include things that they’re comfortable with.
There’s clearly a huge outpouring of people sharing Dracula Daily via social media - but there are also tons of friend groups and families reading it together. I hear about the email threads and the daily group chats - and I LOVE it. Hopefully the print edition can be another way to share this experience.
