Hello friends! A few days ago I posed the question: should we redo Dracula Daily in 2022? We can start the book over again in May, and read the book as the events happen through early November.
I asked, and those (hundreds!) of you who responded overwhelmingly said: YES, let’s read Dracula.
Let’s do it.
We’ll start just like last year; the first events in Dracula come from Jonathan’s diary on May 3. We’ll follow the same plan, which you can read about here.
If this isn’t for you: maybe you kept pace last year and you’re done? Maybe you’re Dracula’d out? Reach for that unsubscribe button, friend. No hard feelings.
If you’re excited: could you share this? You can point people to the overview page here that explains what we’re doing. It’s definitely more fun for everybody if more people are reading together. And it’s ideal if we can get people on board before May 3, when the story starts. The clock is ticking!
Looking forward to it -
Matt
Some operating notes:
I probably won’t send another email until the story starts on May 3. So stay tuned!
Some passages are too long for gmail, and the email gets truncated when it hits your inbox. If you suspect that’s happened, you can click on the title of the email or the little arrow icon next to the date - that will take you to a web version where the full text is displayed.
There are big gaps where no story happens. But if you suspect that you’re missing an email, you can always check your spam folders. And the emails are also archived at draculadaily.com also.
